FAQ

Lovereel aim to keep the entire wedding videography process as simple as possible whilst providing an incredible service that won’t break your budget. Should you have any questions, we hope we’re able to answer them here for you.

Booking questions
  • Do you take last minute bookings?

Yes. Contact us ASAP to find out if we’re available for your wedding.

  • How do I book Lovereel?

Contact us and we’ll send you a booking form.

  • What parts of our wedding day will you cover?

During the time we’re with you we'll be filming all your usual wedding festivities as well as any other surprises or specials requests you might have in store. This may include the preparations, wedding ceremony, photoshoots, cultural traditions and customs, lawn games, performances, fireworks, reception formalities i.e. bridal party and newlyweds entrance, speeches, cake cutting, first dance, father daughter dance, bouquet and garter toss, newlyweds exit and the list goes on.

In short, we’ll have our eyes and ears open all day, ready to capture all of the moments you’ll cherish forever, including any spontaneous ‘priceless’ moments.

  • How many coverage hours do I need?

If you’d like the preparations captured, please allow 3 hours prior to the ceremony start time for us to film it all for you. If you don’t want the preparations captured, we’ll start filming at the beginning of your wedding ceremony.

You’ll need to figure out how many coverage hours are needed to take you from the start of your wedding ceremony to the end of your reception formalities, or if you prefer, to the very end of the wedding i.e. the newlyweds exit. Many couples are happy for us to finish once it’s only going to be dancing for the rest of the evening. It’s really up to you.

Once you have decided whether or not you want the preparations captured, the ceremony start time and the reception finish time, you’ll be able to determine how many coverage hours you’ll need. If you’re not sure, contact us and we’ll help you work it out.

Lastly, as a fail-safe, you get to decide what you want us to do if your coverage hours run out during something important like the reception speeches, so that we don't miss it.

  • How many wedding videographers do I need?

There are many advantages to having two videographers present on your wedding day. For example, during the wedding ceremony, videographer 1 can stay focused on the bride walking down the aisle whilst videographer 2 is focused on the groom's reaction. Another good example is during the reception where videographer 1 can stay focused on someone giving a speech whilst videographer 2 is focused on your guests' reactions. If you're considering only having one videographer, there is no need to worry. We are professionals. We know how to make the most of every situation. The majority of weddings we flm are actually captured by only one videographer and our couples are always more than happy with the fnal result. Whether you choose to have one or two videographers flm your wedding is totally up to you. It is always in our best interests to provide our couples with the best possible wedding videography experience imaginable.

Wedding Film and Raw Footage questions
  • What is raw footage?

Raw footage is all of the unedited video and audio we captured throughout your wedding day, provided to you as many separate video files (inclusive of audio) in sequential order for easy viewing. The raw footage we provide you with is exactly what we would be using to edit any type of wedding film for you.

  • What video editing options or film types do you offer?

Visit our services page for a full breakdown on this.

  • What about the film / raw footage video quality?

We film in FULL HD 1920 x 1080 using state of the art camera gear.

  • What about the audio quality?

We’ll be capturing audio at all times using our on-camera microphones. For the more important moments however, such as the wedding ceremony and reception speeches, we’ll switch to recording professional audio using wireless lapel microphones and/or backup audio devices.

For the wedding ceremony, we’ll generally attach a wireless lapel microphone to whichever partner is wearing a suit, so it can be hidden well. Additionally, we also like to attach one to the celebrant. Please be aware, attaching a microphone to anyone is dependant on getting their permission prior.

For the reception speeches we’ll generally plug directly into the DJ’s audio system. If this is not a viable option, instead we’ll attach a wireless lapel microphone to the microphone being using for the speeches. We may also use backup audio devices if we feel it’s needed.

  • Will you host my wedding films online?

Yes, on YouTube. We’ll provide you with a link when your films are finished.

  • Do you provide all of the unedited raw video footage and audio?

Yes. Every package comes with the raw video footage and audio, unedited, bloopers and all.

  • Can I order the raw footage only?

Yes, but you will need to book our sister company Just Footage who provide couples with only the raw footage and NO video editing options (you can of course get an edit done further down the track however, with Lovereel).

Travel and Accommodation questions
  • Do you travel?

Although we primarily service Sydney and surrounding areas, we’ll travel anywhere for your wedding. Contact us for details.

  • Do you charge travel fees?

There are NO travel fees for Sydney, Northern Beaches or Macarthur weddings. For anywhere else there may be a travel fee. Get in touch to find out if there will be any travel fees for your wedding.

  • Do you charge accommodation fees?

There are NO accommodation fees for Sydney, Northern Beaches or Macarthur.

For Southern Highlands, South Coast NSW, Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Central Coast there would only be an accommodation fee if we were going to be finishing really late and it wasn’t safe to drive back to Sydney after a long day. Alternatively, it may be better for us to stay in town the night before the wedding if it’s going to be an early start.

For weddings even further from Sydney there would most likely be an accommodation fee.

Get in touch to find out if there will be any accommodation fees for your wedding.
